Privacy Policy

Unlimited Word Puzzles is a word-game app with daily and unlimited puzzles, optional multiplayer rooms, advertising, and optional in-app purchases. This policy explains the information used to provide those features.
Information the app uses
Browser practice: the public browser game does not create an account, show ads, process purchases, or upload scores. Its puzzle session is held in memory and ends when you reload or close the page. Shared links contain public puzzle identifiers and rules, not player names, private account data, or typed guesses. Website hosting providers may process ordinary request and network information to deliver and protect the site.
- Game and preference data: puzzle progress, statistics, settings, hint balances, ad-removal status, and notification preferences are stored on your device.
- Account, leaderboard, and multiplayer data: the app creates or restores an anonymous account identifier for online features. When you earn an eligible leaderboard result, your best score, relevant solve time, display name, and achievement time synchronize automatically. If you use online rooms or link an account, the app also uses room membership, guesses, turn state, typing presence, recovery information, and notification tokens to operate and synchronize those features.
- Optional progress backup: in app versions that offer Progress backup, solo puzzle history and in-progress boards stay on your device unless you enable backup in Profile. Enabling it uploads solo progress, statistics, streak history, and puzzle rotation to your linked account, with a separate backup for each device. Backups include a randomly generated device identifier, a device label, and save time. Purchased hint balances, store receipts, passwords, and authentication tokens are not part of these progress backups.
- Puzzle reports: when you choose Report this puzzle, the app attaches the puzzle identifier, mode, published clue and current clue selection when available, puzzle status, app version, and platform to your selected reason and optional note. The report is linked to your online account so support can investigate it. Avoid personal details in notes. An offline report can remain on the device until it is sent while that same account is active.
- Automatic error reports: app versions with this setting can send a small account-linked report when a save, purchase, hint, backup, or screen fails. Reports contain a fixed error category and operation, app version, platform, and puzzle identifier when available. They do not include raw error messages, stacks, typed text, payment receipts, or credentials. You can turn off Automatic error reports in Profile; doing so also removes pending automatic reports on that device and does not prevent voluntary puzzle reports.
- Advertising data: Google AdMob and participating mediation partners, including Unity Ads, may process device identifiers, approximate location, ad interactions, diagnostics, and consent choices to provide, measure, limit, and protect advertising. Where required, the app asks for consent before requesting ads and offers privacy choices in Profile.
- Purchase data: Apple or Google processes payments, depending on your device. The app receives product, transaction, and entitlement information needed to deliver purchased hints or ad removal. It does not receive your full payment-card details.
- Technical data: service providers may process basic device, network, authentication, and error information needed for security, reliability, and fraud prevention.
How information is used
Information is used to save and optionally back up game progress, maintain leaderboards, run multiplayer rooms, route turn notifications, deliver purchases, show and measure ads when permitted, prevent abuse and duplicate rewards, investigate puzzle reports, troubleshoot failures, and improve the game.
Service providers
Unlimited Word Puzzles uses Apple and Google for app distribution and purchases, Apple for optional Apple sign-in, Supabase for authentication, leaderboards, multiplayer synchronization, notifications, optional progress backups, and support reports, Expo for app delivery and push-notification infrastructure, Google AdMob for advertising and consent management, and Unity Ads as an advertising mediation partner. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy policy.
Sharing and sale
Unlimited Word Puzzles does not sell personal information. Information is shared only with service providers needed to run the app, through the public leaderboard and shared-room features described in the app, when required by law, or to protect users and the service. Other players can see leaderboard display names and scores. Room members can also see shared board activity, display names, and co-op typing presence.
Retention and control
Local game data remains on your device until you clear or remove it. Online account, leaderboard, and room data is retained only as needed to operate the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You can disable notifications in Unlimited Word Puzzles or your device settings, mute individual rooms, change advertising privacy choices in Profile when available, and permanently delete your online identity and leaderboard entry from Profile. When Progress backup is available, Profile lets you pause automatic backups, review saved devices, restore a chosen backup, or delete an individual cloud backup. Pausing backup does not delete an existing saved copy. Restoring replaces this device’s solo progress after confirmation and does not restore purchased hint credits. Deleting the online account also deletes its progress backups and support reports.
Automatic diagnostics expire after 30 days and are removed during the next support submission; cleanup may occur later if there is no further support traffic. Pending device diagnostics expire after 7 days. Voluntary puzzle reports are retained as needed for investigation, until account deletion or authorized support cleanup. Pending voluntary reports remain on the device until sent, account deletion, or removal of local app data.
Children
Unlimited Word Puzzles is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child supplied personal information, use Word Puzzles Support so it can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
Changes
This policy may be updated as Unlimited Word Puzzles changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
